Biography

I’m a multimedia artist born in 1984 in Sweden. I work with different mediums and creative writing in various forms.

The foundational relationships of life and how we can live together in the political and spiritual sphere interests me. Alienation, freedom and love are some themes.

Education

I have a bachelors degree in art and psychology from the City University of New York, with a certificate in cultural policy from the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute. Grad. 2016

I also have a combined bachelor and master in psychology from Mid Sweden University. Grad. 2019

For other arts education I have done a one-year foundation arts education at Basis Konstskola. Currently I’m doing a foundation year in the arts at Gerlesborgsskolan, Stockholm.

Besides this I have also studied art and creative writing at the Art Academy of Art and Design in Gothenburg, Folkuniversitet, Basis, and Tollare Folkhögskola.

Solo/group exhibitions

2003 Photo series from Ireland, photography, Öckerö bibliotek, Öckerö. Photos taken in Ireland with quotes from Irish writers, solo exhibition

2014 Women as Furniture, performance, Washington Square Park, New York. Member of the feminist performance group Women Solidarity led by artist Katrina Mitilenes.

2016 What wilderness, video, International Studio and Curatorial Program, New York. Assisted artist Dylan Gauthier on project and was part of exhibition.

2025 Flourishing, LED-light sculpture at Ljus på Långängen with Lidingökonstnärerna.

Creative projects

2016 Project Woman, video, Östersund, Sweden. Co-operated with artist Linda Peterson Öbring on videowork.

2022 Madeleine and the stars, childrens book, Stockholm, Sweden. Co-operated with artist Jessica Locklar on a childrens book. Unpublished.

2022 Råttan Rutan, childrens book, Stockholm Sweden. Unpublished manuscript.

Other work

Volunteer event management and video projectionist with the movie theatre organization Folkets Bio in Östersund.

Culture critic for a few years with Länstidningen i Östersund and been on the jury for the annual cultural award.

Since 2019 I’m also a clinical psychologist. Lately I work in private practice but have previously worked with research on sleep disorders in bipolar patients at Karolinska Insititutet and in the public health care sector.
